Can’t say enough about this place. It’s in an excellent location within a stroll from the ferry with private parking as well as an easy stroll to all the amenities Stromness has to offer. The house itself had everything we needed and was extremely welcoming when we arrived with low lights on etc. The kitchen is well equipped although we did minimal cooking (on holiday after all!). There are not many places to eat in Stromness so for families I suggest a 5 minute walk to Fletts butchers for a lovely steak pie or one of their mince rounds for an easy meal.
David is an excellent host and very accommodating allowing us early entry when the cottage was ready. He really does go above and beyond. We would not hesitate to book again and it will be our first choice from now on for our Orkney visits.
