An old fisherman’s cottage built from salvaged ships beams and masts, Harbour Cottage is one of Stromness’ original houses pre-dating modern records. Overlooking the harbour and directly across from the Ferry Terminal and Travel Centre, it places you in the heart of the town known as The Venice of The North. With private parking directly outside, you are only a 5-minute drive from the heart of Neolithic Orkney and its globally renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ground Floor
Inside Harbour Cottage you’ll find a tastefully furnished retreat, decorated in a relaxed coastal style that reflects its enviable location right on the Stromness Harbour front. The ground floor’s well-equipped kitchen and dining area provide a bright, welcoming space perfect for enjoying meals around the table, while an adjoining sitting room offers ample seating for four, with both a two-seater and a generous three-seater sofa. Also downstairs there is a conveniently located w/c and shower room. From the sitting room, a staircase ascends to the bedrooms above.

Upstairs, two comfortably appointed double bedrooms (one overlooking the Harbourfront) provide a restful retreat after a day exploring the local area.
